Skipping Girl
EDITION SIZE 100
“Little Audrey” possibly the first neon sign in Australia when erected in 1936 skipped on top of the old Skipping Girl Vinegar factory in Victoria St Abbotsford Melbourne until the factory was demolished and the sign sold in the late 60’s. A new sign was made in 1970 which now sits on top of a nearby factory and was listed by the National Trust in 2000.
In this piece, “Little Audrey” who has skipped solo for over 80 years has made new friends from the encroaching new apartment blocks which now surround the landmark.
This is a very special screen print release limited to 25 pieces only.
